Special Issue Introduction
Public and private transportation are under stress due to a new wave of urbanization. One of the key social issues of the next decade is building a safer and more private transportation system. The Internet of Vehicles is envisioned as a key technology.
There are some security and privacy issues with the communication network, information transfer system, and seamless interaction between mobile devices and networks of the Internet of Vehicles. The Internet of Vehicles' security and privacy protection are of extreme significance. With a secure Internet of Vehicles, vehicles can monitor environmental conditions and road users can have a safe and timely information exchange environment.
This Special Issue aims to present high-quality research papers that discuss the use of networks and communications to make the Internet of Vehicles systems safer and more effective, as well as the Internet of Vehicles system's privacy protection. Review articles are also welcome.
Specifically, this Special Issue will focus on the following aspects, including but not limited to:
● Data privacy protection technology and service in the Internet of Vehicles;
● Architectures, algorithms, and protocols for data dissemination, processing, and aggregation for the Internet of Vehicles;
● Machine learning model and method for the Internet of Vehicles
● Application of cloud computing and fog computing in the Internet of Vehicles;
● V2V, V2I, and V2X safety and privacy protection;
● Security, privacy, and trust for 6G-enabled ubiquitous, intelligent, and cooperative sensing;
● Link- and Network-layer protocols for connected vehicles;
● Big data mining and analysis for the Internet of Vehicles;
● Green computing and sustainable computing for the Internet of Vehicles;
● The Internet of Vehicles for federated learning based on blockchain;
● New applications of the Internet of Vehicles.
